Mr Manoj Jhalani is Additional Secretary and Mission Director, National Health Mission in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. He is actively involved in the design of a package of services including the provision of comprehensive primary healthcare services and continuity of care from the community level to the tertiary level facility. As an IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, he has an extremely rich and wide experience in leading, coordinating, and monitoring the design and implementation of policies and programmes of social and economic development at national, state and district levels.
Mr Jhalani has worked in the tribal districts of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Jhabua. At the state level, he has overseen policy formulation and programme implementation in almost all social sectors including school education, health, women and child development, and social welfare. Mr Jhalani holds an MBA in Public Service (with distinction) from the University of Birmingham, U.K., and B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from I.I.T., Kanpur.
