Sexual and Reproductive Health
Despite making strides in improving the health of its population and ensuring universal health care, India still faces significant challenges when it comes to access and delivery of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. Access to safe, affordable and effective sexual and reproductive health services has implications for the larger health of individuals and is intrinsically connected to the health of the nation. In a society where conversations around sexual and reproductive health (SRH) are replete with myths, misconceptions, and taboos, strategising ways to strengthen sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents as a policy priority is imperative.
Population Foundation of India views sexual and reproductive health (SRH) as an indispensable component of health, gender, and economic upliftment. In line with our mandate, we continue to engage with key stakeholders to promote an inclusive, voluntary approach to sexual and reproductive health, and ensure universal access to its services.
